Too old To be bold, By Stevie Haston.

Old El Passo is a tough little roof that never stops surprising me with its magnificence. Strangely enough you have to be a little bold on this safe route. You would understand if you went on it, at 8a+ it very rarely see's an ascent, and normally, suiters have to be schooled very well to get threw, the twists, and changes of direction.

Kate my daughter is belaying, she had a play on the roof, and is getting to like it! I am looking foreword to her kids having a go soon. Her Kids turned up with our friend Ruth's kids who all went caving in the back of the roof, there's 10 km of passage in there!

The cave is a bit wet so everything is very wet and tougher than normal, but its still huge fun, and a full body workout.

The end of the route is a belay on the other side of the arch, where if you do it feet fore ward like this, it seems logical, but is very tough on body tension. My normal way is easier, but no one seems to manage it my way, I kinda corkscrew my way thru. There you go, a little route.

On a side note, Ben and Jerry's Ice cream will try to be GMO free by the end of the year, a very commendable  change for the better. The anti GMO fight will continue, and is gathering force, please be part of it, and try to understand the dangers of Pesticides and Herbicides, and all the other cons that business, and government, are forcing on us.

Climbers boycot USA and Monsanto, by Stevie Haston

Recently, the President of Russia Putin, warned USA secretary of State, about Obama's continual support and protection of Syngenta and Monsanto in the world wide extermination of Bees.
Putin went as far, as to suggest, and warn that it will most certainly lead to war.

Can you believe this? Did you know about this?

Monsantos vice president has been head of the American FDA Food and Drugs Administration!
Did you know that?

80% of domestic Bees in the USA have died. Syngenta were taken to court by Germany for concealing the fact its genetically modified corn killed cattle. In the USA Syngenta  settled a class action law suit for 105 million dollars after polluting 52 million americans water supply with the toxic Atrazine.

These are just a few facts.

I am not going to America, they will take my fingerprints like a criminal, when it is clearly them who are the criminals. I am not going to eat any of their shit poisonous food, I am boycotting it. I ask my friends family and fellow climbers to try to do the same.

If Bees die, fruit and seed does not pollinate, then we go hungry.
Some one has a plan to control seed! Who is it?

Obama while promising to bring peace and harmony to all the places where America were killing people, quietly put into power in the American government people from Monsanto.

It's very difficult to believe this but unfortunately it's true.

If you can, do something. I am a small person without power, but my wife and I are not going to help destroy nature.

Controlling bees is the ultimate weapon of mass people destruction.

Pull ups health, Monsanto death, by Stevie healthy Haston

Surprisingly I am not dead, 3922 pull ups, flat but not dead. I didn't make 4000, but there is a very good chance I will next time, if there ever is a next time. I had no muscle tears, no blisters, it was boring, the blog got over 3500 hits, thanks.

Here is a link to highly recommended film. It is easily the best film I've watched for years. If you eat food, and I'm sure you do, you must watch this film!

The kitchen sink, waiting to plant the non gmo plants, in the extremely productive garden, non artificially fertilized, no RoundUp Monsanto death Juice, just love, and a few insect evictions.

I did pull ups till 4 in the morning.

I watched one great film, which was horrific, more horrific than any Hollywood horror movie, it was about the evil company Monsanto. I recommend this film to any cynic, any sceptic, any conscientious person who wants to feed themselves and their family well, here it is .

Pull ups over against Monsanto, by Stevie Game over Haston

I didn't make 4000!
I thought I might, I was hoping, but hope doesn't crack it, thoughtful planed  training does.

So my little protest for today is over, and to be honest I was thinking that would be enough. But its not enough, as the day has progressed I have got more angry with Monsanto and the big Agro industries that are poisoning us. The Politicians are lying to us, because they are payed to, they are Muppets. We the people are mostly too stupid, too lazy, or can't be bothered to work things out. Today because I am stupid, because I am lazy, it was a friend who put me onto the fact that basically the water in large parts of Catalonia shouldn't be drunk (here is  a link), so if you are climbing there or live there, be careful what you drink. Water in my department of France has a large part of it taken from ground water, sometimes this water is polluted. Two years ago the main towns water was deemed poisonous and had to be shipped in. How safe are my grande children playing in the village fountain, we drink from this source in preference to our own tap water, which has bad chemicals put in it to clarify it!
Oh yes for pull-up nerds, I might try a few more pull ups before 4 o'clock tomorrow morning, but we are talking a few dozen at most.

Pull ups against Monsanto, by Stevie Haston

So I woke up at 4am and started doing pull-ups! The marches against Monsanto probably won't get the support, or publicity they deserve. Strangely this blog will get viewed by a couple of thousand, so while your here I'll just say food is important, eating shit is very bad for you and the future population.

Mosanto free cat, no GMO in his health plan.

Many of my family have now died from cancer! It's not funny, it's horrific, I nursed my mother through cancer a few years ago, and have to say it was the hardest thing I did in my life. She was not like me, she was an angel, she deserved a bit more life!

Anyway  done 2100 pull ups, pain is there, but obviously any pain I have will be gone soon. I won't do many pull ups today, I am not really up to it, but I'll try for a few more. Why don't you try and find out about GMOs in your food? Well you probably don't care that much, right. Well care a little bit, because they are probably in 70 to 80 % of the food you eat. Care for yourself, care for children and others, care for the bees, butterflies, and soil, we are all linked.

Pull ups are a good upper body and core exercise, here is my article on pull up variations....
But more importantly just google the word Monsanto, and spoil your Kellog's Conflakes breakfast (gmo) with milk (fed gmo) and wonder why it's not written on the packet.

Pull ups record attempt, By Stevie non GMO Haston

I'll try and beat the pull up record on Sat 25 of May, the international march against Monsanto day. I aint that strong at the moment, but will try hard, because I am so cross and pissed off. At the very least it will be a hard work out.

Here are a few facts for people, I know people are lazy, and don't think it's their fight, but most of Europe is against GMOs, and think they are very bad.

  1. No GMO Labeling Laws in the USA!
  2. Lack of Adequate FDA / USDA Safety Testing
  3. Monsanto Puts Small Farmers out of Business
Farmer Suicides After GMO Crop Failures
  4. Monsanto Products Pollute the Developing World
    500,000 Agent Orange Babies
  5. Monsanto Blocking Government Regulations
  6. Monsanto Guilty of False Advertising & Scientific FRAUD
  7. Consumers Reject Bovine Growth Hormone rBGH in Milk
  8. GMO Crops Do NOT Increase Yields
  9. Monsanto Controls U.S. Soy Market
  10. Monsanto's GMO Foods Cause NEW Food Allergies
Some GMO foods have been proven in laboratory tests to...

CAUSE: cancer, sterility, miscarriages, seizures and even death!

When I came home from five months away recently I was very sick, my immune system was not working right, and I was tired. It was the junk and poison I'd been eating. It's happened to me before, in America, and Norway, two places where it's very hard to get good organic food.

Maybe you are busy on Saturday, but pass a thought, or two, to the health value of what you, your children, and their children  are forced to eat.

I have been blessed with a good body, I want it to stay that way. On Saturday I may not break the record, but I will do lots of pull-ups, how many do you think? Current unofficial record is around 4600, not bad!
I will be fueled  by organic bananas, and as a stimulant I might have the odd bucket of organic coffee.

Agent America by Stevie Haston.

This man was exposed to an American made weed killer! America systamatically sprayed huge areas of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, in doing so
it killed or maimed an estimated 400,000 persons in Vietnam.
500,000 babies were born with some kind of disability.
America has paid compensation to some of its soldiers and workers for 'de-weeding', but only after huge legal battles by the Veterans associations. No money has been given to the injured or dead people  of Vietnam, Laos, or Cambodia. Please remember that Bush took America and Britain, into another unjust war in Iraq, citing that Sadamie Hussein had killed 5000 Kurds with a Gas Agent!
Agent Orange was produced by Monsanto. It was also produced by the Dow Chemical, but the Monsanto Orange was of a much higher concentration.
Monsanto have been involved in many poisons over the years, but continue to get away with it due to their friends in the America, and American government.Their latest friends are actor Obama, and the singer Bono.
Monsanto's biggest poison is happening now, and it is insidious, you eat it, you feed it to your ailing loved ones, and children, and babies. Please voice your concern, Worldwide Protest May 25th.......

Training, training partners, and teachers, by Stevie single Haston

Ok, training partners are one of the most important parts of training. Sadly a good, or perfect training partner, is very hard to find. I am training a new training partner at the moment, but he is proving stubborn. You don't want a 'Cock of the walk', you want a mate, supportive and encouraging.

Yoga is great by your self.

Yoga is great by yourself but you learn more with a good teacher. I just did a few intensive days with my wife (which is not even ideal) and made much progress. I intend to do more of this as I really notice the difference.
This is the outside of my training room, with my training partner, and very quickly he feels my peace and settles down. The pollen is a bit down today, so I risked it, cos it's so mellow. Inside in the shade, I have to have some noisy, bang, bang music, to get something going, and it makes me too twitchy. Music has its place too, but today I want the vibe of the sun, and the late Spring. Good training to you, and I hope you find a good training partner, and teacher.

Explos film Fest and local larking. Stevie the Lark Haston.

So I took this photo of a poster at the Film Festival at Ax les Thermes, and realized afterwards that it was my bunny, snowboarding a first descent in the himalayas. Some times it's nice to be me!

Laurence had trouble controlling one of the children at the Kids Yoga, he was more interested in doing Axe kicks to the head!

This is Phil Bence the main man behind the festival having an enlightened moment, he has been a fantastic friend in caves and grottes to me, he taught me much, so much thanks.

This is Anne Arran, very, very pregnant doing her yoga class with Laurence, Anne has a local Gite, Chez Arran, which is very popular amongst visiting Brits. Anne is looking forward to doing 8a again!

The Karate Kid was beaten by the Yogi, soundly told off, and told to stretch in the naughty corner.

Two of these keen youngsters cycled 135 miles to do some yoga and see a few films, I was very impressed with them and the other students.

There was a little exhibit of the local rescue Gendarmerie and I got to talk to Gael Perez, about rescue stuff, I always pay these lads and lasses great respect having been pulled out of 'La Merde' a couple of times. Gael is a local from Pau and a mountain man. The bit of kit  behind us, is what we need on Gozo, please take note you Maltese and Gozotans, we all need a ride from the cliffs one day!

Intuitive infinity, By Stevie infinite Haston

So I have been doing Yoga nearly all day long at Ax, as part of the Explos film festival. Actually Patagonia sponsored the Kundalini Yoga, with Laurence teaching. There are some good films etc, and some good climbers and cavers around to chat to, not to mention us other folk who are equally good to chat to.

James Pearson from the Uk is there with a nice little film, showing him, and his extremely talented climbing girlfriend, Caroline, find out more about them and check their Blog out.
Oh yes, great Organic beer, new shoe from La Sportiva, stiff trad and crack, beer is good in any kind of weather etc.

My foot in a very cool La Sportiva flip flop, non slip sole for those people who have had too much Bio beer, 6% is a good hit, especially if you have a six pack. Yoga was totally brilliant today, felt like I was getting somewhere, thanks to Betta Gobbi from Grivel who is one of Laurence's teachers. Yes Betta, it's working!

Core is Sore, by Stevie Haston.

Core is Key, for sure.

Grandkids are coming in a couple of weeks , gotta be fit for them.

Two of my grand kids do fighting arts, so got the old kick bag out.  This is very good for those weird toe hooks and ankle torque.

Laurence said she might try again, since I am home for a bit, and driving her crazy. She will be teaching some good core yoga classes at the Film Festival Explos in Ax les thermes in Ariège, here is the link to the program.

Might have to go to Spain, to get her a bargain grade! Local grades are way too hard.

Her local project has a few funky one leg knee bars, and we all know you are what you do, it's  not  what you think you are, it's what you make yourself. Anyway the rain has stopped, the flowers are bobbing their spring heads, and so are we after a bit of down time. Soup and carrots for a while, power pulls, and a bit of light leg endurance to get rid of a few pounds of lard.

Climbing on Gozo, by Stevie Haston and Xavier Hancock

Here is a free quick guide to climbing on Gozo, this is from the Gozo Ministry of Tourism, Xavier Hancock and myself. It's all you need to have a good holiday of a week or so, enjoy.
